We were thoroughly impressed with this kennel! Dianna was incredibly nice over the phone when I called to reserve a spot for our dog. We are from MA and came to the area for our daughters wedding. We were staying at a campground and our dog is used to being left in our air conditioned motor home. At the last minute we decided that it would be too long of a day for her and looked for a place to board her. This kennel was spotless and on a beautiful location overlooking a creek. Tom was beyond kind and personable! He played with our dog and let her get acclimated before we left her. When we picked her up a little earlier than expected, the kennel was just as spotless as when we dropped her off! We could definitely see that she was very happy and after greeting us, she went right over to Tom to get some more pats from him. She then went over to where he kept the tennis balls and started whining at us to play. She knew where he kept them, which proves he played with her quite a bit! We were so pleased! We will be in the area again in October for another wedding and will be boarding her here again! Thank you so much for loving our dog so well while we were not able to do so! Miss Brady looks forward to coming to “camp” again soon!

We absolutely love Diane and Tom! They have taken such good care of our high maintenance young Malinois , and of us too! Their attention to detail and the cleanliness of the facility really impressed upon us how much they really take pride in their work and love what they do. We hope to work with them for many many years to come. Worth every penny!

We left our 3 dogs at Summer Creek for 4 days when our daughter was getting married. I was worried about my fussy adult Doberman … but there was no need to worry!
Diane’s extensive knowledge of dogs and dog handling quickly set my mind at ease. My Doberman was settled and relaxed in that environment and our 8month old Am Staff and her Chihuahua mix buddy were happy too. They had enough exercise, a routine, and affection while they were there and it showed! I will never board my dogs anywhere else.
Margaret: Your pups were a joy! So well behaved and they were so good. We love giving the pups extra love and care. They are welcome anytime!
We found ourselves for the first time ever not having anyone we know watch our Bernese Mountain Dog while we were away.
Diane and Tom were highly recommended, so we dropped Jumbo off for the weekend knowing she was in good hands.
This kennel is a beautiful structure built by the Amish. It is spotless, as is the outside area the dogs play in.
We could not believe how this couple knew about our dog after a little over 2 days, which told us how much time they spent with her.
Their experience and love of dogs is so evident. You can rest assured if you kennel your dog at Summer Creek, you can go on vacation or wherever you travel to and not worry about a thing. The fees are so reasonable too.
We sincerely want to thank Diane and Tom for helping us out in such a competent, caring, authentic way. The world needs more people like them.
Jumbo is a DOLL!…. Welcome anytime and we do, truly, love to spend time with our guests and get to know them, their needs and personalities! Hope to see Jumbo again soon!
Diane came to our rescue when our usual dog care person became ill on the day of our departure overseas. She was highly recommended by the folks at the Barking Lot and that was good enough for us. The introduction of our “challenged pup”. was professional and easy. The care Dudley received was incredible and it seems in short order he accepted them both. Diane sent pics putting our mind at ease and a couple of updates on his stay. Will use again. Thank you so much for your care of the Dud, you do go above and beyond.

I had my 11 year old German Shepherd at the facility for 5 days. He has back leg issues among other things. They went above and beyond with the level of care for my dog. I would highly recommend summer creek retreat. I normally leave my dogs with my mother but she was not able to take care of him. I couldn’t be happier with the level of care.
He is a fine older gentleman that does need some special care and attention. Hope the summer and warmer weather make him feel more comfortable.
The best kennel! Our German Shepherd is so well cared for and loved while he’s at Summer Creek that we are able to go on vacation with no worries at all. We are so grateful to owners Diane and Tom!

I cannot begin to say enough positive things about this establishment and the owners! We were referred by a friend who also raved about their experience. Our puppy Shield is a Doberman and of course with that breed comes a lot of push back from people, even boarders/handlers/trainers etc! So I had a really difficult time finding someone I could trust and feel comfortable leaving him with.
Well The Sanfilippo’s at Summer Creek Pet Retreat completely put myself and my fiancé at ease. We will not leave Shield with anyone else going forward. Their care and professionalism that they put into each and every customer and their dog is just amazing. Shield had a great time, and was very well taken care of. Not only do they provide daily updates for the worriers like me, but they also follow any instructions the owner provides while also making well researched and educated recommendations.
The location their establishment is on is immaculately maintained and cleaned. Oh, and the view for the doggies when they are outside is beautiful! Shield was truly on the perfect vacation!
They simply go above and beyond and I am So thankful.

Absolutely 100% the best kennel I have used, and I have used a few! The amount of care they gave our dog without nickel and diming us is beyond exceptional. I absolutely will never go anywhere else. I have a Shepherd, they tend to be stereotyped by a lot of places. I truly felt they understood him and loved him as their own. In addition, their facility is clean and a spectacular view of a creek and nature for your dog to enjoy as he relaxes!
